Catching Fire Book Review

Catching Fire (The Hunger Games, Book 2) by Suzanne Collins was the second book in the series.  I started it after finished the first book but I took a little break in case I was going to lose my life to reading.  This one I read in 9 hours start to finish!  I was riveted, almost more than the first book.  I am so grateful that my friend loaned me the second and third one because I couldn't have been able to function without reading these one after the other!!  I don't know what people did when these books first came out because I don't think that I would have been able to make it to the next book release :)

Spoiler alert- just in case you haven't read the first one... this one is based on all of things in the first book.  This book picks up right after last book ended with Katniss and Peeta coming back after winning the Hunger Games to adjust to their new life.  There were a few different story lines at the same time including Katniss and her family, Peeta and Katniss' relationship, and fitting back into their new lives.  This quickly changed because they were no longer worried about their lives because the 75th Annual Hunger Games was announced and the Capital read a letter saying that the people would be chosen from the victors.  This meant that Katniss and Peeta were going back into the arena to fight for their lives but both of them have decided that they will be fighting for the other person's life since only one person can make it out of the games.

I highly recommend for you to check out this book in your local library or bookstore!!  It has been the best book series that I have read since Twilight!  I think that everyone would like it and you should check it out.
