Shopping Trips to Start August Off Quickly!!

Well, the beginning of the month is as much of a blur as the end of the month!  Little did I know when I took the picture of a few of my shopping trips that the camera memory was full!  UGH!  Well, I will give you a recap since I can pull everything back out because most of the things are already opened and used :)  Plus it is already the end of the week so it will be like getting a recap of the week anyway.

First, my son and I had a quick trip to Harris Teeter to get some chicken since we were running out of all things protein and the sale made it $1.99 per pound.  I grabbed the 10 package limit (around 20-25 lbs). I also grabbed two boxes of Frosted Mini Wheat with raspberry fruit in the middle which I can't wait to try next week.  We grabbed four Gerber fruits and three Gerber Fruit Pouches.  Sadly, my son was excited to try the pouch but quickly spit it into my hand since he didn't like it.  It was worth a try :(
Total OOP $39.40

My second and most hurried trip was a run to CVS because we were totally out of Pull-ups!!  I was going to grab a bag at Harris Teeter but I couldn't bring myself to pay the $12 for a small bag.... I don't know how other people do it but it made me sick to my stomach!  I got the big bag which was on sale for $19.99 and used a $4 off CVS diaper coupon, $2 Manufacturer coupon, and $1 ECB.  I was excited to get 50 diapers for the price that I would have spent at Harris Teeter for the smaller package so calling it the fastest decision trip might have still made it the best!
Total OOP $12.99

Harris Teeter was my Saturday trip to get all the things that I didn't get to pick up during the week and the Saturday granola bar evic special.  Although I spent a small fortune on granola bars, my son and husband will be enjoying them for a long time to come since I got 8 boxes.  I also grabbed one more box of Frosted Mini Wheats, 2 dozen Eggland's Best Eggs, 2 Oscar Mayer Select meats, and one more Gerber Fruit Pouch.

My last addition to the cart was the S'mores Goldfish which were on sale buy one, get one.  We went to Target the other day and my son grabbed these off the shelf and told his Daddy that he loved them and couldn't live without them so we went home with them.  I said, in true Mommy fashion... "Those are the ones that he didn't like before, couldn't you switch them out for something he is actually going to eat!?"  The conversation went back and forth and my son proceeded to eat almost the entire bag on the way home.  Okay, mommy was wrong!!  They are also called special three goldfish because they have the brown, tan and white fish in the bag just so you know that the S'mores on the package is the wrong name :)
Total OOP $22.57

I check out the Blue Bunny Cadbury Ice Cream bars while I was at the store and they were $4.99.  I had loaded a $2 and $2 Evic coupon so they would be $1.99.  I was going to grab them when I thought better and called home.  I asked my husband to look up if there was a coupon and he said it was printable.  I put the ice cream bars back in the freezer to get another day... luckily, I didn't have to wait!  My husband and son went to Home Depot and stopped at Harris Teeter on the way home to grab a special dessert treat.
Total OOP $1.11

Total Weekly OOP $76.07
Total Savings $133.47

A super busy week with lots of purchases in just a little time but it was all what we needed... except maybe the ice cream but we enjoyed the special treat.
