Giant Shopping Trip 7/5

The first trip of the month and the first post-power outage shopping trip was to get some things for my husband and use my $10 Giant Community Rewards*.  I had a list put together and was planning on doing it earlier in the day but my son fell asleep on the way to the store so we headed home for naptime.  Luckily, I got to run out when my husband got home from work.

I got 2 Deli Carver Turkey, 4 Buddig Ham, 6 Chi Chi tortilla, 4 Chi Chi salsa, 2 Pillsbury Pink Lemonade Cake Mix, and Ocean Spray Cran Grape juice.  The total cost was $39.53 before discounts and coupons.

My total OOP was $1.35 with a savings of $38.43 (including $11.53 bonus card savings, $16.10 coupon savings, $10.00 Giant Community savings, $0.50 Uscan credit, and $0.30 bag credit).  I love my trip to Giant where I get to use the $10 credit because I get a lot of looks like how could you get that much for $1.35!!  The cashier said wow when she handed me my receipt.  In addition, I got 200 gas points to get $0.20 off on Shell gas.  Now we just have to remember to use them before they expire!

*  I was asked in January to be a part of a special community with Giant Foods.  I participate in discussions, surveys and other online activities at least once a week for the month and I get a $10 credit on my account to get great food from Giant.  I have received the credit every month since I started and enjoyed sharing my opinion and using the credit to support my family.
