I was excited and sad to get to the last book in the Chesapeake Shores series.
Dogwood Hill (A Chesapeake Shores Novel) by Sherryl Woods was the best book in the long series of books because it was all of the characters leading up to this one for me. I am still hopeful that there will be more books coming out soon so I am crossing my fingers that this isn't the last one for me forever, just for now.
When former pro football quarterback Aidan Mitchell comes to Chesapeake Shores to take a high school coaching job, he's embraced by the town, especially the O'Briens. But Aidan has a secret that could alter all their lives. For wounded Liz March, who's trying for a fresh start after a devastating betrayal, taking a chance on Aidan may be more than she can handle. Her heart, however, refuses to listen to her head. But just when forever seems within reach, Aidan's secret threatens to change everything. Does this tempting stranger who's made her feel alive have the power to convince her to look beyond the past and reach for the future?
It was great to read about two new people to town that we haven't met before. That made the book a lot different then the other books in the series because neither person had grown up in the small town of Chesapeake Shores. The two newcomers are trying to make their way in this tight knit town with the knowledge that they are being pushed together. There is still lots of appearances by the meddling O'Brien family and all of the characters that we have grown to love. I hope that you check out this great book and see for yourself. I know that you will enjoy it as much as I did!!!
