Menu Plan Monday 5/19
Monday- Rosemary Chicken and Potatoes with green beans
Tuesday- Tacos with saffron rice
Wednesday- Homemade Pizza with salad
Thursday- Grilled Chicken with rice and asparagus
Friday- Breakfast for Dinner or Sausage Tortelloni
Saturday- Leftovers/ ??
Sunday- Leftovers/ ??
I wasn't really sure what was going on for dinner this week because I didn't know what my parents were doing and when they were going to be there but I had a plan. Sadly, I didn't make it to the store to get the things that I needed so there was a little scramble to get ground beef and cheese.
We had a quick trip to Aldi's which my mom kindly purchased which was about $38. There was also another stop at Wegman's to get ground beef and cheese. I added way too much to the shopping cart because we were tired and hungry. The total there ended up around $63 UGH! My mom chipped in $40 for some of her stuff and to be helpful so it was only $23 out of my pocket but there was a ton of things that we didn't need because they weren't on sale. Not the best couponing trip to the store but hoping to come up with something other then leftovers for the weekend.
My parents are here through most of the week and will be gone by Friday so we are planning for relaxation and easy meals after that. How is your week looking??
That was nice of your mom to chip in...I'm hoping to get to the weekend without buying groceries. That's my goal, the to shop with a list this week & a menu plan in place.
ReplyDeleteMy mom likes to put stuff into the cart without seeing what is on sale or what has a coupon and she knows that it makes me crazy. I like to shop for her before she gets here with some stuff that I know she would want but last time I went overboard and got so much stuff she didn't eat so I decided to wait and take her shopping. It totally stressed me out and she made fun of me for my reaction to the total bill at the store but then she gave me money. It is expensive to feed two extra people for a week and a half but when they chip in a little, it makes it much easier. Good luck with making it through without more groceries!!
