We have another easy week planned with Valentine's Day using up the last of our yummy Omaha Steaks from Christmas. I am going to try to have stir fry on Wednesday but that means that I have to get the store right before to get some green beans or snow peas super fresh before and I haven't done it so I might switch it with Sunday so that I have something as a backup. I am going to try to look at a few more stores close to home instead of driving all the way to Fair Oaks Wegman's to get my produce but I just don't feel like we are going to get it done before Wednesday. I found some good looking veggies at the foreign market last time so I might have to head back over there when I have a chance later in the week.
What do you have planned for the week? Do your plans changed based on what time you have to make it to the store?
I just posted my menu plan for the week and thankfully should be ok without hitting the grocery store this week. I really don't feel like shopping, so i'll hold out until the end of the week and see when that time hits! :) I posted my menu plan today as well... :)
ReplyDeleteI think that I am going to scratch the plan for the stir fry because I don't want to go to the store this week. I hope to hold out until next week too. So far a little over $40 already spent for the month so it would probably be best to save a little more for super doubles if Harris Teeter has them this month :)
DeleteSounds like a good plan Allison. You know I like to read other people's menu plan's just to get ideas about different dinner options. I don't do any menu planning myself though. I kind of just wing it and plan each day with the things I have bought on sale. I think though I should plan Valentine's Day like you have done!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I could go back to not having a menu plan because dinnertime was always a little difficult. I love trying out new recipes too and blogs are the best place to find those recipes. I hope that you find some good ones here. I have a recipe tab but I really need to update it :)
